Pixel 8, the latest version of Google's own smartphone, Pixel 8, will be released on October 4. The company will introduce two models, Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro. This will also be the first smartphone to get the new version of Android, Android 14 installed.
The Pixel 8 is tipped to be packed with Google's AI systems, including Bard. It is also rumored to sport a 6.17-inch FHD+ AMOLED display, 120Hz refresh rate, Google's next-generation Tensor G3 chipset, and a triple-lens rear camera system. Reports so far suggest that it will be thinner and lighter than its predecessor.
Google has launched the Pixel 7 at Rs 59,999 for the 8GB RAM and 128GB storage variant. The pricing information of the new model will be revealed at the launch event.

AMOLED Display, Design, Security
The Google Pixel 8 is equipped with a 6.1-inch Super AMOLED display that has a 1440 x 3120 pixels resolution. The larger 20:9 aspect ratio display panel has a 412 PPI pixel density. The display has thin bezels on all sides and a punch-hole cutout at the centre which houses the selfie camera. The power and volume keys are located on the right side of the device. For the security purpose, the handset has a face unlock support and an in-display fingerprint sensor.
Processor, Storage, Camera
An Octa-core Tensor G2 processor accompanied by Mali-G710 MC10 GPU powers this latest Pixel smartphone. The device packs 8 GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. The handset lacks microSD card support. As for the imaging purpose, the device sports a 64MP Triple-Camera setup. The 64MP main sensor has an f/1.9 aperture and OIS support. Accompanying the 64MP sensor there is a 48MP telephoto lens and a 12MP ultra-wide camera. On the front side, the device features a 16MP camera which has an f/2.2 aperture.
Battery, Fast Charging, Connectivity
The smartphone is loaded with a 5000MAH battery which supports fast charging via a USB Type-C port. Connectivity-wise the Pixel 8 has features such as dual-SIM card slot, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac, Bluetooth v5.2, GPS, and a USB Type-C port.
